One of Februarys highlights was an invite for the quartet to play to a packed crowd at Steyning Jazz Club in Sussex where we had the pleasure of being joined by our old friend and renowned violinist Mike Piggott. Starting with a great run of gigs in Dorset during March the Quartet had a lot of fun playing the The SoundCellar Jazz Club night in Poole. A great audience and we were sent these excellent pictures from the evening. We finished our weekend playing at a wedding in the beautiful setting of Abbotsbury lots of swans and cliffs.The trio have been enjoying a clutch of bookings at birthday parties and this wedding in the Cotswolds over March and April. Here we are getting them in the mood at a corporate bash in Hendon. The BIG one happened for us the following day when we were asked to play at a private Christmas party for the one and only megalegend that is Sir Paul McCartney and his wife Nancy Shevell Held at the Institute of Directors in Pall Mall no expense was spared to get the Christmas vibe just right. One of the coolest bookings we took was in May a great corporate event for the French drinks company RICARD. They flew Jonny and Jason to Morocco for a couple of sets of hot Gypsy Jazz A gruelling four flights in just over 24 hours made even more gruelling by the late nightwedding gig just a few hours before the first flight. The boys were well looked after though and managed find the only alcoholic cocktail bar in Casablanca despite Jason almost being eaten by a shark during an impromptu dip in the sea earlier in the day Back in Blighty weve had a lot of fun making music for couples tying the knot over this summer.
